So, why exactly are owners unhappy? The reason is that since the new version is being released so soon, it has made the iPad 3 obsolete. Fans of the iPad were surprised to hear the news when it was revealed on Tuesday at its iPadmini press event. 50% of iPad 3 owners say they were very disgruntled about the launch of the iPad 4, with iPad 2 owners following a close second at 45% and first-generation i Pad owners at 40%. To add onto this, about one in four respondents believe Apple’s reputation has been tarnished after taking away Google Maps from its iOS software update and instead have replaced it with Apple Maps. That being said, consumers are still willing to purchase the mini, Apple’s smallest tablet thus far. 15% of people say they will definitely buy it, while 32% say they would “probably buy it.” 21% of consumers say they would buy the mini as a gift for a loved one for the holidays.
