$866,667 Patek Philippe Sold - Sell Watches Boca Raton

Last Tuesday in Hong Kong, Sotheby’s held their annual "Important Watches" auction. At this auction very rare and unique timepieces are auctioned off to the 1% of the 1%. Brands you will find here include Patek Philippe, Richard Mille, Audemars Piguet, and more. All of the top 10 lots were purchased by Asian buyers except for one which was purchased by someone in the middle east. The most expensive watch sold was a Patek Philippe 5207P-001 for $886,667. Overall, Sotheby's said they sold $16.7 million in watches. That is a lot of money to sell watches Boca Raton. Below is a list in least to most expensive order of some of the top 10 most expensive watches sold at the Important Watches auction.

1. $405,128 - Breguet 3857. This is a platinum Breguet watch. It has a perpetual calendar, tourbillon movement, and a minute repeater. As you can see from the dial it has a lot of functions. There is a huge display on the left side of the beautiful tourbillon movement. It is even cooler when you see it moving in action.

2. $435,897 - Patek Philippe 3939P This is a "very rare" Patek Philippe watch. It has a minute repeating tourbillon movement. Patek Philippe is one of the only watch companies I know what does not display its tourbillon movement from the front. Most companies put it on display. It is a simple classic looking Patek that is extremely hard to find.

3. $497,436 - Richard Mille RM012 Richard Mille watches are relatively new, but they already fetch huge prices. This is a platinum skeleton watch that houses a tourbillon movement. It was the fourth highest grossing item at the auction. Richard Mille watches are sure to be around for a while.

4. $528,000 - Patek Philippe 5033P/100P-001 This Patek Philippe is especially unique. Patek is usually known for being extremely simple and understated, but this watch has a full factory diamond bezel. Even the lugs have diamonds. It also has a minute repeating annual calendar function. It sold at the high end of its expected range.

5. $866,667 - Patek Philippe 5207P-001 This Patek Philippe is extremely rare. It is actually the brand's most complicated watch (which is saying a lot). It has a minute-repeating instantaneous perpetual calendar with a tourbillon movement. It also has a leap year and day/night indication. At 41mm it is on the larger size for Patek. It has a honey gold-colored dial and a platinum case. It was made last year in 2013.

Patek Philippe watches made up 6 of the top 10 highest grossing auctions. And the top 3 were all Patek Philippe proving once again they are the standard for timepieces around the world.
