When it comes to men’s jewelry, watches are the number one seller.  Some guys buy necklaces, some where bracelets, but the most common jewelry item worn by a man is his watch.  They say you can tell a lot about someone by looking at their shoes, but I also think you can tell a lot about someone by looking at their watch.  Of course, like any stereotype, this is not always the case.  But you can usually get a good feel from someone based on what watch they are wearing.  So this begs the question, what is the perfect gentleman’s watch?  In my opinion it is the Rolex Submariner Boca Raton.

You can learn a lot about someone based on his watch.  For example, if you meet someone wearing a Folex (fake Rolex) you immediately know he’s trying to be someone he’s not.  Maybe he tends to be dishonest, or represent other things falsely.  If he’s trying to pass his watch off as real what else is he faking?  But, if on the other hand, he is wearing a genuine Rolex you can assume some more positive vibes.  Maybe he’s a hard worker.  He’s probably successful.  After all, Rolex watches aren’t cheap.  If he spent that much money on a watch he must have more saved, or at least he’s making money.  Of course these generalities may not be true and the fake watch wearer might be more successful than the real watch wearer, but you get the idea.

The Rolex Submariner in my opinion is the perfect gentleman’s watch.  First, it is a Rolex.  And when you think of the brand Rolex you immediately think high end luxury.  Rolex is a brand that prides itself on excellence and reliability.  Rolex watches can be worn for generations and continue to keep excellent time.  If you had to draw a wealthy or successful person and what he or she was wearing, they would have a Rolex on their wrist.

Second, it’s fashionable.  The Rolex Submariner is one of the coolest looking watches on the market.  It’s sporty and classy at the same time.  It features a stainless steel case that is 40mm wide.  It is meant as a “diver’s” watch so the case is rather thick.  This gives the watch a great look on the wrist.  The bezel is black ceramic and really looks cool in some lights.  It has a dark black dial with large luminescent markers.  The bracelet is brushed stainless steel which really makes this watch look like a “tool” watch.  Which leads me to my next point.

Third, it is a watch that can be beat up.  The Submariner really is a tool watch.  It is meant to be worn every day in any situation.  You can wear it to your office job or bring it with you while building a house.  It is designed to withstand almost anything that you can throw at it.  The scratch resistant sapphire crystal makes it almost impossible to damage.
