Omega Anti-Magnetic Seamaster Aqua Terra
Omega has introduced a brand new watch: the Anti-Magnetic Seamaster Aqua Terra. It is a stainless steel, simple looking, anti-magnetic watch. It resembles the infamous Rolex Milgauss which is also an anti-magnetic watch but only up to 1,000 Gauss. The new Omega is registered resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss. That’s 15x what the Rolex Milgauss is registered for!
Besides being more anti-magnetic, the Anti-Magnetic Omega also has a date function, something the Milgauss lacks. While the dial on the Milgauss is very proportionate due to the non date, a date function on a watch is very desirable. I can see many people who are considering both watches choosing the Omega because of the date.
The trademark design of the Milgauss is the orange lightening bolt second hand. The Anti-Magnetic Seamaster Aqua Terra also went bold with a yellow and black second hand. The dial is black with steel stick markers, besides at 3 o’clock where the date is.
The price for this watch has yet to be determined but I would assume it will be a bit less expensive than the Milgauss.
