History of John Hardy Boca Raton
The jewelry company, John Hardy Boca Raton, was founded in 1975. The company is know for having designs inspired by the Asian culture and handmade jewelry. John Hardy was a Canadian designer/artist who visited Bali in the 1970s. This visit raised his interest in jewelry making. His compound was built in Mumbai,Bali in 1996. This is where the company first took off and was first created. 
In 2007, the company president and CEO, Damien Dernoncourt, bought the company from John Hardy and moved their headquarters to Hong Kong. Their satellite office is located in New York. The company is known for their sterling silver designs and for using different patterns and techniques for their pieces.
The company is very environmental friendly and they use 100% recycled silver in all of their designs. They also had a “Wear Bamboo, Plant Bamboo” program where the proceeds from their bamboo collection went to fund the company’s bamboo plantings.
