Chanel Flap Bag Boca Raton
The Hermes Birkin, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull, and the Chanel Flap Bag are three of the most recognized women’s handbags in the world. Any girl will know these bags at first glance. All three are classic designs but very different in their own ways. Today I am going to talk about the history of the Chanel Flap Bag Boca Raton.
In the 1920’s, Coco Chanel was getting tired of holding her handbag in her arms. She decided that it would be smart to add small thin straps to free up her hands. She was inspired by soldiers who wore bags with thin straps. Then in 1954 during her fashion comeback, Coco decided to update the bag for the “modern woman”. The result was the Chanel Flap Bag.
The bag has many distinct features that separate it from others. There is a small zippered compartment under the front flap. This is supposedly where Chanel hid secret love letters. On the back of the handbag there is a small slide pocket for easy access to pull out money or change. The double chain shoulder strap is unique to the Flap Bag. The bag has a quilted diamond pattern along the exterior. It gives the bag nice shape and volume.
Nowadays there are many versions of the Chanel Flap bag. There are some with one single flap and some with two flaps. Some are Caviar leather and others are quilted lambskin. They come in all different colors such as black, white, red, and even blue. The Chanel Flap Bag Boca Raton is a timeless piece of art.
