The Ophir Collection has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. The Delaware based Ophir Collection LLC includes a rare collection of 40 rare gemstones, nine of which are the largest known specimens in the world. All of the stones have been recognized and graded by the Gemological Institute of America except for one. There was one gemstone that the GIA and other authorities in gemstone identification were unable to identify, meaning that it could possibly be the only specimen of its kind in the world. The Ophir Sapphire is 31,308 carats. It holds the Guiness Book record for biggest faceted sapphire in the world.

The Ophir Brown Sapphire is 5,905 carats. It is the biggest cut brown sapphire found in the world.

The Ophir Musgravite is 22.64 carats. Musgravite is one of the top 10 rarest and most valuable gems in the world. This is currently the largest Musgravite. However, GIA just certified the Ophir Grand Musgravite which is 10 times larger!
