JC Penneys Launches New Modern Bride Collection
What started in 2011 with Condé Nast (publisher for Modern Bride magazine) re-established the company tremendously. Talks of closing down shop have been discussed, but we don’t see any of that hurt anymore. Many young brides are gravitating towards JCP newest pieces released in their Modern Bride collection. Most of the engagement rings consist of pave diamond settings (pavé being a french word for pave, the way the diamonds are set looks “paved”). The center stones are also clusters of smaller diamonds to give the appearance of one big center stone. There are pieces that have one full diamond, but for the most part the company is targeting younger, less expensive sparklers.
Something that JCP has added among new style engagement rings is a diamond list. Now potential ring buyers can pick out their own diamond and design a custom ring. All diamonds have been certified by International Gemological Laboratory, otherwise known as IGL. This ring is one of the best sellers on JCP Modern Bride’s website. It’s original price was $13,995 but now reduced to $7,995! It is a split shank pave set diamond ring with an emerald cut center stone. There are two rows of pave diamonds encircling the center stone to give the appearance of a bigger, more profound diamond in the center.
This ring is listed as the most expensive of all the rings on the site. It has 5 carat total weight of diamonds and four princess cut diamonds invisibly set as the center stone. This is an engagement ring trick, four invisibly set diamonds appear to be one larger center stone, and they are all encompassed with pave set diamonds which really makes it glow.
