What Wedding Band is Right for You?

Which Wedding Band is for you?

So you don’t know what wedding band to buy? Believe it or not, this is actually one of the most pressing issues when wedding shopping. It has to be something the groom-to-be is happy and confident with, but it also has to be something that matches your gorgeous engagement ring! We are here to help make that buying process a little easier for you. We will show you all the different styles of wedding band and maybe, just maybe you will gravitate towards one!

1. The Eternity Band: This is one of the most expensive, but gorgeous wedding rings made! The flawless wrap around diamond look is so in right now and matches with practically anything. Your fiancé can simply get a matching gold color (for example if you have a white gold eternity band he can get away with buying a white gold plain band). The misconception is that Eternity bands have to be big diamonds, but they can be small pavé set diamond stones as well. Another option is precious or semi-precious gemstones instead of diamonds to lower the price. The options are endless.

2. Diamond Wedding Ring: Now, unlike the eternity band wedding rings the diamond wedding ring just has the top of the ring covered with stones. It can range anywhere from 1 – 5. These are lower in price depending on the carat weight, diamond color and gold weight. Options to have a slight curve in your wedding ring so it allows space for the engagement ring is always available. See your local jeweler for more information on this ring style. Matching with your man is even easier! He can get a matching gold band with either no diamonds or some diamonds too! In our opinion the amount of diamonds does not over-do it!

3. Plain Wedding Band: This is the most used style, obviously. It is inexpensive, matches everything, and doesn’t mesh poorly with your engagement ring. Sort of like neutral colors when dressing yourself! To reduce the price even more make sure you are paying attention to the gold quality. 14k gold is usually the best quality for the lowest cost. It is .585 gold. This means it is just enough gold to be sturdy, but not enough to make the price dramatic. Starting out with this wedding band is not a bad thing! For more anniversaries and years to come you can always upgrade to something nicer!

4. Solitaire Enhancers: What is this exactly? It is what it sounds like, its an enhancer for your engagement ring. So lets say you have a solitaire engagement ring, but find the diamond a bit small, there is a wedding band that has an opening for your ring to gleam through. What the jewelry mechanism does is give the look of a bigger, bulkier diamond engagement ring, when in reality it is just a solitaire ring! You have the option to wear everything as one, or just a solitaire. Depending on your mood you can be glammed up or basic!
