Rolex Boca Raton

 

When you hear the name Rolex Boca Raton, you automatically think of luxury. A quick history lesson on these worldwide famous watches have been around since the early 1900’s. Created by Hans Wilsdorf and his brother-in-law, Alfred Davis, founded Wilsdorf and Davis, the company that would eventually become Rolex SA, in London, England in 1905. In 1919, Wilsdorf left England due to wartime taxes levied on luxury imports as well as export duties on the silver and gold used for the watch cases driving costs too high and moved the company to Geneva, Switzerland, thus the birth of Rolex Watch Company.

Over the course of a century, Rolex would grow from a house hold name to a status symbol. In 1981 a Rolex watch would cost $900 but within less than ten years the price had jumped to $2350 for the same model with little changes. In modern time, that number would be laughed at yet admired for its historic background and because the prices today are well into the 10 thousands. From businessmen, musicians, actors, athletes and politicians, Rolex watches can be seen on the wrists of many far and wide. For this Monday, we’re showcasing our Man Crushes wearing their favorite style of Rolex watches starting with the Mad Man himself, John Hamm.

John Hamm is known for playing the ad executive, Don Draper. Back in 2010, Mad Men showed Don Draper wearing a vintage Rolex Explorer. The fun fact of Don Draper wearing the vintage Rolex, and though it can’t be seen closely in the picture above, but he’s such a stylish fictional character that his Rolex has numerics as opposed to numbers.

Our next Rolex Man Crush Monday is one of our favorite British soccer players, David Beckham. Over the years, Beckham has been seen wearing so many different Rolex watches it’s hard to choose a favorite that you see on him. However, we’ve narrowed it down to our favorite featured in the picture above that was taken from a LA Galaxy press conference back in 2012. This rare yellow gold Datejust Rolex is so stunning on the wrist of whatever man is wearing it and it was better yet, seen on one our favorite Rolex wearing celebrities a few years back.
