Cartier Boca Raton
In the world of designer watches, Cartier Boca Raton has stood throughout the test of time. A quick history lesson of the longevity of the brand is beginning with where it all started. Founded in Paris, France in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier, the company remained under family control until 1964. The company maintains its headquarters in Paris and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Compagnie Financière Richemont SA.
Cartier is well known for its jewelry but especially for its Cartier watches, including the “Bestiary” (best illustrated by the Panthère brooch of the 1940s created for Wallis Simpson), the diamond necklace created for Bhupinder Singh the Maharaja of Patiala and the first practical wristwatch, the “Santos,” of 1904. So as it can be seen, Cartier is well over 100 years old with it’s history in the jewelry fashion designing world. One of our personal favorite qualities of this timeless watch (no pun intended) is the roman numerals on the face of the watch making it such a classy watch for men and women alike.
Cartier has developed many different watches and these are their classic collections: Calibre de Cartier, Pasha de Cartier, Ligne 21 de Cartier, Tank, Santos de Cartier, Baignoire, Tonneau and Ballon Bleu de Cartier.
Cartier Roadster
One of our personal newer favorites styles of Cartier watches it the Roadster as featured in the picture above. The Cartier Roadster watch is a very elegant and innovative timepiece. Its particular oval case combines elegant lines with bold and sturdy style. This watch is not only aesthetically pleasing but, it’s design and functionality of wear is impeccable. The Roadster is Water-resistant, manufactured of the best quality metals, highly polished steel or all types of gold, it has a very shiny oval case with a prominent polished metal cabochon crown completing and highlighting its particular fresh and forceful design. Though the watch above is a women’s watch, this particular style comes in both men and women of course!
Cartier Santos
Since we showed off our women’s Cartier watch favorite with the Roadster, above we have the Cartier Santos 100 XL Automatic Watch. This brings us back to the brief history lesson of Cartier. In 1904, Louis Cartier granted the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to be able to tell time while flying. The birth of one of the first ever wristwatches sealed the bonds of friendship between these two pioneers. The rounded angles of the dial, the seamless curve of the horns, and the exposed screws made for an iconic watch that would inspire countless reinterpretations. So this watch is basically made for a man to fall in love with and have other men be envious of and want one for themselves.
