The difference between a high end pawn shop Boca Raton and a regular pawn shop is the type of items you will find. A high end pawn shop typically only accepts items with higher values. In the business we call this scrap. It is gold that we buy with the intention of selling it to the refiner to melt. Gold buying has slowed down over the past few years but we still do see a lot of it. Diamond jewelry is a popular item here such as diamond tennis bracelets, necklaces, etc. Usually a premium can be paid for pieces with nice stones. Even bigger premiums can be paid for designer items like Cartier and Tiffany. Van Cleef & Arpels also holds its value incredibly well. One of the most common pieces of jewelry we see is diamond engagement rings. We see stones from 1/2 carat to 10 carats on a pretty regular basis.
Finally, since we are a high end pawn shop in Boca Raton we see lots and lots of designer handbags. The funny thing about handbags is not all hold their value. The big three of handbags that we can take regardless of the model are Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Hermes. Pretty much any model of these bags we can buy and re sell.
