Watches Boca Raton
It’s incredible how inexpensive watches are. But what’s even more outrageous is how expensive some are. There is no other product with such a variance in price. Even a million Bughatti compared to a $30,000 Camry isn’t as nuts as a $30 Timex to a million dollar Hublot. It’s just amazing. And to be honest the Timex probably tells better time! Luxury watches seem to be at an arms race with each other to see who can charge the most for a watch and actually get away with it. Can you image spending over $1 million on a wrist watch? Only a select few can. Below is a list of the best watches Boca Raton money can buy that cost over $1 million.
1. Hublot Classic Fusion Haute Joaillerie “$1 Million”
This is the quintessential million dollar watch because it is nicknamed the $1 million. Hublot only made eight of these pieces and for good reason, it is ugly! It features 1,185 baguette diamonds throughout everywhere on the watch. It also features a tourbillon movement of course. Hublot says it took a team of 15 people and 1,800 hours to cut the diamonds for the case alone. Definitely a lot of hard work and design went into the watch but it’s not something I’d rock.
2. Roger Dubuis Excalibur Quatuor
According to Roger Dubuis, this is the first watch with a case made only from silicon. It is half the weight of titanium but also four times as strong. It features an RD101 movement which is famous for having four sprung balances. They work in pairs to compensate for the force of gravity much faster than even a tourbillon movement would. The retail price is $1.125 million.
3. Jaeger-LeCoultre Hybris Mechanica à Grande Sonnerie
This watch features 1,300 parts which allows it to mimic the chimes of Big Ben! It was introduced into the market in 2009 as part of the Hybris Mechanica 55 trilogy which was a trio of three very expensive watches featuring 55 complications. Retail price is $1.474 million.
4. Vacheron Constantin Tour de I’Ile
Only seven of these were made. This watch celebrated the brands 250th anniversary. The watch actually has two faces, one of the front and one on the back because it has so many complications. It is the most complicated watch on this list of over $1 million. This will set you back $1.538 million.
5. Greubel Forsey Art Piece 1
This was first shown at SIHH in 2013. It costs $1.6 million. What makes the watch so expensive is a nanosculpture in the crown of the watch by artist Willard Wigan. Of course, like most watches over a million, it features a tourbillon movement as well.
6. Richard Mille RM 56-01
One of the coolest watches on this list, the 56-01 features an all sapphire case. It retails for $1.85 million. It’s expensive even for Richard Mille watches which frequently cost 6 figures.
7. Richard Mille Tourbillon RM 56-02 Sapphire
This is almost identical to the previous watch, except it has an upgraded movement. This is even more expensive of course at $2.020 million.
8. A. Lange & Söhne Grand Complication
The Grand Complication features a grand sonnerie and petit sonnerie in addition to a minute repeater, a monopusher chronograph with a split-seconds function and jumping seconds, and a perpetual calendar with a moon-phase display. It costs $2.497 million.
