Is the iPhone 5 Better?
Three days ago Apple announced the iPhone 5. They spoke at a huge news event in California and everyone seemed very excited. The phone is supposed to be the best iPhone yet. But, is the iPhone 5 better than the 4S?
First, let’s look at what is drastically different. The screen is 4″ on the new one and 3.5″ on the old one. The processor is twice as fast. And it can connect to the 4G LTE network. Other small improvements such as the camera and battery have also been made.
At the time, the iPhone 4S was the best smart phone on the market, and it’s hard to improve upon the best. While I don’t think Apple drastically changed their new iPhone 5 I definitely think it is much improved. The bigger screen, while only 0.5″, will make everything look better. It has an aspect ratio of 16:9 which is what most HD TV’s have.
I also think that the new processor will make a huge difference. The iPhone usually starts out very fast the day you open it and slows down over time after more and more apps are downloaded and more information is stored. The new chip should make it so your iPhone is fast right up until you get the iPhone 6.
So, is the iPhone 5 better? Yes. But is it much better? I’m not too sure. We’ll have to wait and see the critics’ review.
