Rolex Watch Rumors
Every year around this time the new Rolex watch rumors start. What will they introduce next at Basel? Boca Raton Pawn outlines the most popular Rolex rumors for next year.
1. The GMT-II Blue and Red Bezel
Since the introduction of the ceramic bezel a few years back Rolex collectors have been begging for a red and blue bezel. As of today the only available bezel color on the stainless steel GMT-II is black. Many think of a two colored bezel when they think of the GMT because it was so popular in the 90’s. You could get the GMT with a red and blue bezel (Pepsi) or a red and black bezel (Coke). If the GMT is introduced with a two colored bezel next year sales will go through the roof.
2. A stainless steel Yachtmaster II
With the recent trend towards larger face watches many people have been leaving Rolex behind. Other companies like Breitling and Panerai are known for having watches bigger than 42mm. Until 5 years ago the biggest Rolex you could find was 40mm. Rolex introduced the Yachtmaster II in the late 2010’s. It measures 44mm. It’s a beautiful watch; the only problem is it’s incredibly expensive because it comes in white gold, yellow gold, and two tone rose gold. A stainless steel version would be significantly cheaper and reach a larger consumer base. It would compete directly with watches like the Breitilng Chronomat Evolution among others. The original Yachtmaster is available in steel which is why many think the Yachtmaster II will be as well.
3. Ceramic Bezel for non-gold Daytona’s
Two years ago Rolex introduced a rose gold version of the Daytona. They already had a rose gold model but this time it had a black ceramic bezel. The bezel made the watch look even better than before (if that’s possible). Many are speculating that the ceramic bezel will be added to the yellow gold, two tone, and stainless steel models as well.
We never really know for sure what Rolex will introduce. Last year’s introduction of the Sky Dweller surprised everyone. Let the rumors begin!
