Facebook Graph Search: How Will it Work? – Pawn Shop Boca Raton

Pawn Shop Boca Raton

Yesterday, Facebook announced Graph Search.  It’s their first big move into the search engine game.  Up until now, searching for things on the internet on Facebook was next to impossible.  Results were unorganized and not relevant.  For Facebook to make money they had to get involved in search.  Now, finding a pawn shop Boca Raton will be much easier with Graph Search.

According to various websites covering the matter, Facebook’s Graph Search will take into account what your friends think before providing you with relevant results.  For example, you’re looking for a place to pawn your Rolex in Boca Raton.  You type in “pawn Rolex Boca Raton” into Graph Search and it should show you the best places to go relative to what your friends think.  If Boca Raton Pawn is the place your friends enjoy the most it will most likely be the first result in the search.  Results will be based on check ins, “likes”, and various other social information.

Graph Search should give users a much more relevant search to their own feelings based on the people they associate themselves with.  The best place to hang out for a 65 year old male might be completely different from a 23 year old female, and Graph Search will show you that.  The results for the same search term for different people will tend to be different based on what you personally enjoy.  If you type in “best place to hang out” on Google, no matter who you are, it will show you very similar answers based on what company uses SEO the best.  On Facebook this search will be different and catered towards you.

Graph Search offers a much different search result than we’re used to.  Once that is tailored towards us.
