When the Great Recession hit in 2008 our country was hurting.  People lost their fortunes overnight, lost their jobs, and lost their faith.  In fact, many of the effects of the Great Recession still linger today.  The economy still isn’t quite back on track and unemployment still sits at over 7.7%.  And it wasn’t just poor people that lost their money.  Actually quite the contrary.  Many people who had been wealthy their wholes lives lost everything.  Banks weren’t lending anymore so they only had one option, a high end pawn shop.

When Boca Raton Pawn opened in 2011 we didn’t know exactly what to expect.  We experimented with a lot of different business plans over the first few months.  We soon realized that there were so many people who were used to living a lavish lifestyle who lost almost everything.  People you would never think would be coming to a pawn shop came in.

Since then, we have been only focused on high end items only.  We are an exclusive pawn shop that cater to the wealthy.  Items we accept include luxury watches (like Rolex), estate and designer jewelry (Cartier, Tiffany, or just gold), designer handbags (Louis Vuitton, Chanel), and Apple products.  Also, our interest rates are the lowest in South Florida.  We are the only pawn shop, high end or low end, that offers 1 month interest free.  That’s right, zero percent interest loans.
