Will Rolex Finally Make a 42mm Daytona? Rolex Boca Raton

Even the most novice Rolex Boca Raton enthusiasts know two things about next week.  First, it’s Baselworld 2013.  Second, it’s the 50th anniversary of the Rolex Daytona.

The rumors started as far back as last year’s Baselworld about what Rolex would introduce as part of the 50th anniversary of the Daytona.  Typically, Rolex ads something green like with the bezel on the Submariner’s 50th anniversary, or on the reintroduced Milgauss’ crystal.  Some are speculating a green ceramic bezel, which would be very interesting.  Others are saying that a sub-dial will be green, or they will add a green crystal, like the Milgauss.

Other rumors swirling are a bigger Daytona.  Today the Daytona is listed as 40mm, but when you really measure the case it turns out to be closer to 39mm than 40mm; plus it wears small.  Other companies like Omega and Breitling already have larger chronograph watches to keep up with the trending style of everyone wearing larger watches.

Whatever Rolex decides to introduce I can guarantee you one thing, it will be super popular.  If there’s one thing Rolex is better than anyone else about it’s style.  That’s why you pay close to $10,000 for a steel diving watch!  Because it looks amazing.  I can’t wait to see what the 5oth anniversary Daytona will look like.
