History of Hermes Boca Raton
Hermes Boca Raton, established in 1837, is a French manufacturer of goods such as leather, perfume, and ready-to-wear items. They are famous for having their logo of a Duc carriage with horses, which has been around since 1950.
Thierry Hermes first established Hermes as a workshop that served European Noblemen in 1837. The son took over for him in 1880 and introduced saddlery and began retail sales. They created bags for riders to carry their saddles with them. In the 1930s, they hired a Swiss watch maker and created a line of men’s wrist chronographs and women’s art deco cuff watches. Fast forward to the 2000’s, they expanded their products to leather, scarves, ties, men’s wear, women’s fashion, perfume, watches, stationery, footwear, gloves, enamel, decorative arts, tableware, and jewelry. They guarantee their quality saying that each product is created by one person only from beginning to end.
Hermes is very famous for their Birkin bag, which was named after the French actress Jane Birkin. She also co-designed the handbag. Despite its extremely high price, it is still very very popular.
Having only started as just a workshop, Hermes blew up to be something global. From over 180 years, Hermes went from being just a saddlery to the world’s most iconic label.
