Rolex Store Boca Raton
We’ve all heard of counterfeit watches. We’ve seen them in little tents in the Bahamas and in the back of stores in China town. We’ve seen the fake handbags and purses, sunglasses, and belts. Counterfeit goods have become a huge underground multi national billion dollar business. Just step on Canal street in New York City and you will be bombarded by dozens of salespeople selling fake goods. They show you a menu of watches and bags they have, you bargain a little, and 10 minutes later you get an exact replica of a popular item for a fraction of the price. Fake watches are said to be even more common than real ones. Well, I bet you haven’t heard of a counterfeit Rolex Store Boca Raton?
That’s right. In Baghdad, there is a full fledged fake Rolex store. It says in huge letters “Rolex” outside the shop on a massive green awning. The Rolex signature crown can be seen from hundreds of feet away and the store looks beautiful inside. If you didn’t know any better you would think Rolex owns and operates that store. Nope! It’s just a regular jeweler who decided to market his business using the most famous watch brand on the planet. It’s like a huge smack in the face to Rolex and corporate brands everywhere. The shop owner claims to sell genuine Rolex watches inside, but how can you believe him? After all, his store is fake!
This is not the first time that an entire store is counterfeit. It is common in China to see fake Apple stores that are exact copies of real stores. The employee uniforms are the same, store layout looks the same, and there are Apple logos everywhere. You could walk in and out of the store and not realize it’s fake. That is until you get home with your new iPad is not actually an iPad.
It’s hard to imagine how these stores get away with it. I mean can you imagine walking down the street in the US and seeing a fake Rolex store? It would never happen. But in other countries it is much harder to go after people who break the law. After all, what power does Rolex have in the middle of Baghdad? Not much.
The store owner also states that he sells many other brands of watches like Patek Philippe. I can’t imagine anyone spending any money in a fake store, but it’s clear that many people do. He sells antique watches and many other items as well. If I’m ever in Baghdad I will definitely be checking this place out.
