The ring sold to an anonymous bidder on Tuesday October 15, 2013. The final price was set at $749,000. The estimated value placed on the ring before auction was $300,000 to $500,000. Clearly the final sale price was drastically higher due to the fact that the ring had some history.
The ring itself was 20 carats. Even for a super celebrity like Kim, that is a huge ring. The center stone measured 16.2 carats with two 1.8 carat side stones. Most girls would be happy to get a 1 carat engagement ring and hers had 1.8 as accents!
It is reported that Humphries is suing Kim Kardashian because he claims she married him for the publicity. The wedding was a featured episode on the Kardashian’s and they profited greatly from it. Chances are he will lose the battle but it is still interesting to note.
