Antiquorum, The World’s Premier Auctioneers of Modern and Vintage Timepieces, is holding an auction in Hong Kong at the Mandarin Oriental this Saturday. At the auction will be some amazing and rare Swiss timepieces. Included in the watches for sale are Patek Philippe, Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Panerai. Some of the highlighted watches are below. 1. Patek Philippe Ref. 5004A – It is one of only 50 ever made. It was made in 2011. It has a stainless steel case with a split seconds chronograph. It features a perpetual calendar, moon phase, leap year, and 24-hour indication. It is expected to sell for as much as $645,000!
2. Patek Philippe Ref. 5004J – It is the only known example of this watch with a yellow gold case and black dial. It is also the only one to appear at an auction. It has all the same functions as the 5004A but also features a yellow gold deployment clasp. It is expected to fetch $400,000.
3. Richard Mille “Tourbillon Prototype” – The RM038 AL MG Proto 03 magnesium wristwatch features a visible one-minute tourbillon regulator, 48-hour power reserve and a titanium double-folding deployant clasp. It is expected to sell for over $380,000.
4. Panerai RAM348 – This is a truly rare Panerai. It has a ceramic case with a skeleton dial. Only 30 pieces were ever made. It will sell for just under $100,000.
Antiquorum has been holding auctions for 40 years. They hold 10 or so every year. This one will prove to be one of their best.
