Born in Bartow, Florida, Lewis graduated from Kathleen High-School in 1995 as an American Football and wrestling star. After high-school Lewis went to University of Miami, where for three years he was named to the All-American Team. In 1996, Lewis decided to give up his College eligibility to enter the NFL draft, where he was selected in the first round pick by the Baltimore Ravens.
After 17 years in the NFL, Lewis decided that it was time to stop. So, how about retiring after winning the Super Bowl? Last Sunday, the Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII and Lewis got his second ring of his long career.
