Two More Auction Records – Sell Jewelry Boca Raton
Another day, another Christie’s auction. This time it was in Hong Kong and set two new records; although the Golconda diamond necklace that had an estimate of $10 million didn’t sell. These jewelry auctions keep setting records which is amazing in a time where the world economy is in a decline. It seems like the richest 1% of the 1% keep getting richer while everyone else gets poorer. A lot of people need to sell jewelry Boca Raton to get some extra cash. Below are some of the notable sales from the auction including the two record holders.
1. Pear Shape Earrings
This pair of dangle earrings features a pair of pear shape diamonds. One is 25.49 carats and the other is 25.31 carats. Both are flawless stones. The pair sold for $9.7 million which set a new record.
2. Green Diamond Ring
This was another record setter. It was the most expensive fancy intense green diamond to ever sell. It sold for $3.6 million, or $594,510 per carat. It is a beautiful green color and extremely rare diamond.
3. Green Emerald Ring
This awesome green emerald ring surprised everyone when it sold for twice as much as its pre-sale estimate. It weighs 28.88 carats and sold for $4.2 million, or $143,780 per carat. Crazy money for an emerald.
4. Round Brilliant Diamond
This amazing round brilliant diamond weighs 23.76 carats. It is a D color and flawless clarity. It sold for $4.7 million, or $199,200 per carat which is crazy considering an emerald only a tiny bit larger sold for around the same money. Seems like someone either overpaid for the emerald or got a bargain on the diamond.
Christie’s auctions keep setting records. The money spent at these things is getting ridiculous. Each time an auction is held at least one, if not many, records are set. Sell jewelry Boca Raton.
