New York Fashion Week, also known as NYFW, is well underway in Manhattan. It is a semi-annual event held in February and September. And while this is the coldest week in the city’s long history, it hasn’t stopped the show. New York Fashion Week started in 1943 to distract consumers from WWII. Designers and fashion companies are out in full force promoting their new trends and designs. One item that we are always on the look for is handbags. We want to see what people are wearing, what people are buying, and most importantly what will they want in the future. This year we saw a lot of weird and funky bags mixed with some of the classic designs. Below are some of the bags we loved at NYFW 2015. Sell handbags Boca Raton.
The first bag we love is this Chanel Maxi Flap. It’s hard to tell but it looks like it is in the Caviar leather from the picture. The beige color matched with the gold hardware is perfect. Beige doesn’t look good in all handbags, but it looks amazing in the Chanel Flap. It’s also not a bag you think would match that gray outfit, but when you pair it with the shoes she is wearing it actually looks very nice. Sometimes opposites do attract!
Here we see two beautiful women wearing two equally stunning handbags. The first on the left appears to be a Celine Phantom in black leather. The Phantom’s popularity really took off within the last couple years because it is a relatively affordable and practical handbag. Like a Louis Vuitton Neverfull, it is a huge tote that can literally fit anything inside. Oh, and it looks great too. And on the right we have what looks like a Yves Saint Laurent Sac de Jour Carryall handbag. At first glance you might think it is an Hermes Birkin, only it costs about a tenth of the price. It has a very similar shape and you wear it exactly the same as a Birkin. And even though it’s much less expensive than a Birkin, it is still a great luxury handbag. Call it the poor woman’s Birkin, it is a great addition to any outfit.
Next we have the mini Celine luggage bag. This is almost exactly the same as the bag above except it’s even bigger, if you can believe that. Like with women’s watches recently, the trend has been the bigger the better. Everything is oversize and enormous. This is a great bag, don’t get me wrong, but it’s too big to wear every day. I understand seeing it at NYFW, but in the real world I don’t expect to see this size very often.
Above we have a pink Chanel Jumbo Flap (I think). It could be a Maxi since they are both very similar in size, but I’m 99% sure this is a Jumbo. The Jumbo is a little more practical than the Maxi because it isn’t as heavy. (For those who don’t know, the Flap comes in four sizes: small, medium, Jumbo, and Maxi.) The Jumbo is probably the most popular size these days because of its size. Getting a Chanel in pink is a bold move. It doesn’t fly under the radar like other colors do. When you wear it you are saying, “hey look at me”. Regardless it is a super cute bag for those who want to make a statement.
