Otherwise, just fill a bowl with warm water and a few drops of dish soap. From there, go ahead and place your jewelry in the bowl and let it soak for 20 minutes. Then, dry your jewelry with a clean cotton cloth and allow it to sit on a towel to air dry. The results? All of the oils that collected on your jewelry from wearing it every day is gone. You will make much more money selling your jewelry this way rather than if it were dingy and lackluster.

You can still clean your jewelry at home if it has gemstones, you just have to take a different approach to avoid damaging the stones. The one thing you’ll want to remember, though, is to never submerge the jewelry in water. Doing so could cause the stone to become loose and eventually fall out. What you want to do, instead, is use the same water and soap mixture as mentioned before, but dab it onto the jewelry instead of submerging it and then rinse by dabbing it with a damp cloth. To dry, place the jewelry upside down on a dry towel so the water will drain off of the jewelry without damaging the stone.
